We have some **critical infrastructure news** alongside our regular events—please read carefully!
Enterprise Rack & Network Overhaul – Sunday, May 11th
After years of “quick fixes” and operating on budget hardware, we’re finally moving to a **fully professional setup**:
David has personally invested **over \$2,000** into these upgrades—covering rails, cases, switches, and more—because we believe a solid foundation is the key to a thriving community.
**Maintenance Window – Sunday, May 11**
• **All servers offline** for the majority of the day.
• **“The Center” map (ASA)** remains offline—please migrate dinos/items by **May 3rd**.
• We anticipate a full network switchover and thorough testing before bringing everything back online.
Community Meeting – Saturday, May 10th @ 4 PM–5 PM EST

FiveM Soft Launch & Game Nights
Our **FiveM** server is gearing up for a **soft launch** on **Friday, May 23rd @ 6 PM EST**. Rather than run 24/7, we’ll fill it through **scheduled Game Nights**—focused, well-organized sessions where the community comes together.
Ongoing Game Nights & Volunteers
- **Minecraft** & **Ark** nights will continue—details and schedules soon.
- We’re looking for passionate volunteers to help plan and host these events. Reach out if you’d like to contribute!

After years of “quick fixes” and operating on budget hardware, we’re finally moving to a **fully professional setup**:
- Enterprise 4U Rack Installation: Our new rack provides standardized mounting, improved airflow, and secure cable management. No more desktop cases cobbled together—this is proper data-center grade equipment.
- Ubiquiti Business–Grade Networking: We’re deploying a Ubiquiti UniFi Dream Machine Pro and a managed Ubiquiti 48-port switch. This unlocks:
- True multi-gigabit throughput (beyond 1 Gbps)
- Advanced VLAN segmentation for isolating game servers, backups, and management traffic
- Quality of Service (QoS) prioritization to keep gaming traffic smooth
- Centralized monitoring & alerting via UniFi Controller
- Redundancy & Reliability: With rack-mounted UPS backup and enterprise-grade PoE switches, we’ll minimize downtime during power events and ensure graceful shutdowns if needed.
- Future Expansion: Extra rack space and switch ports are reserved for new servers, storage arrays, and emerging game projects—Davidscloud can keep growing without another major hardware scramble.
