Details: We were loading up for a boss fight on our dodorexes, and I jokingly said that "what if we lost them because they arent allowed in?". Well yeah we lost them and ended up dying, and losing all our inventory as well.
We know better now

we found our dodorexes in the terminal but we cant retrieve our bodies

Yeah bodies won't be retreivable from a boss fight, thats just how ark works. As for dinos you can't take anything with a Drag weight above 550 into a boss dungeon. If you look at the dino while its balled up it will tell you its drag weight down towards the bottom so you can avoid losing anything in the future.
